The KRONE VariPack Pro combines three endless smooth belts, individually adjustable bale density from the terminal, and very fast bale ejection for efficient, high-density forage baling in dry crops — straw, hay, and haylage. Unlike some other models in KRONE’s VariPack line, the Pro range is available both with the 26-blade XCut cutting system (V 165 XC Pro / V 190 XC Pro) and without it (V 165 Pro / V 190 Pro), giving operators the choice of a simpler, uncut baling setup. VariPack Pro also comes with ISOBUS compatibility and TIM (Tractor Implement Management) readiness as standard, letting the baler automatically manage tying, door-opening, and closing cycles with the tractor.

The XC Pro models add a 26-blade cutting system, selectable in groups of 0/13/13/26 blades for cutting lengths of 84 mm or 42 mm. The non-XC Pro models bale without cutting — useful where a longer, uncut fibre length is preferred, or where cutting isn’t needed for the intended use of the bale.
TIM lets the baler communicate directly with the tractor. It automatically stops the tractor to start the tying cycle, opens the rear door once tying is complete, and closes the door after the bale is deposited — reducing operator workload, downtime, and fuel use, and producing more consistent bales. It comes standard on VariPack Pro.
